About a month ago some very nice person added 309 microfilmed scans of The Shadow Magazine to Archive.org (link here) Yes 309 full issues out of the 325 published (not counting the annuals.) The ones shared aren't all the best of copies, some things get lost in the inner crease now and then, but still pretty readable. They are only available from Archives "lending library" for an hour at a time. I've found a way around the lending library and have started a huge project to create epubs of the full issues (minus the ad pages.)

Now this is where I'm going to need a bit of help.  If any of you have ever tried to convert PDF or scanned pages to another format, or downloaded a book that has been converted, you know formatting, spacing and spelling errors happen. Not only do they happen but they can be very annoying!

I would like to find some proofreaders to check and make sure I haven't missed anything and give me feedback, on how they look, read etc. I'd also like so find some people who are interested in writing like 2 paragraph synopses of The Shadow novels so I can start filling in pages for them.

Please let me know if you'd like to help via the Contact Me box on the side.

If anyone can fill in the missing issues, or can provide better scans then the ones shared on Archive  please let me know. I am only looking for full cover to cover scans! I don't think the other stories and articles should be lost to time and I want to help preserve them.

These are the 16 issues missing from the collection:
