Synopsis:

Alton Parker, the assistant district attorney, is prosecuting the case against “Red” Collins, a gangster accused of killing Boss Al Housman a couple months previous. A band of men calling themselves “Avengers of Injustice,” nicknamed “The White Legion,” have been taking the law into their own hands by terrorizing, assaulting and abducting — often in broad daylight and in the most unexpected places. Members of the White Legion kidnap Alton Parker and in a dramatic showdown in the city court, The Shadow interrupts proceedings to present proof that Collins killed Housman, acting on instructions from the White Legion. Having saved Parker from the Legion’s death sentence, The Shadow succeeds in revealing Judge Rusko, presiding over the courtroom, and also Mr. Clays, city editor, as being members of the Legion who embezzled over ten million dollars of the city’s funds. Commissioner Weston and his men handcuff the guilty parties and The Shadow takes a bow for justice.
