Synopsis:

An unscrupulous businessman named Simon Jordan cleverly fixes the books so he can take over the business owned by Mr. Grover and later steal the whole business by firing the former owner. When Lamont and Margot learn that young Spike and his sister, Janey, have not seen their father in two days, the sleuths set out to bring him home for Christmas. The Shadow faces Jordan and explains that his profit is an empty victory — he will never rest easy with a shriveled soul. After finding Mr. Grover in the streets suffering from amnesia, Lamont and Margot provide for the family so they have a happy Christmas. Jordan, meanwhile, apologizes and offers Mr. Grover a partnership in the company. Lamont explains to Margot that there should never be a thing called charity — there should never be the necessity to create the word, since peace on earth should be every day and not once a year.
