Synopsis:

Al Rocco and Ed Regan hold Lamont and Margot captive. The two escaped killers murdered a guard during their escape, and shoot Shreve dead. When Lamont’s power to change himself into the Shadow fails, Margot attempts to keep Rocco from shooting him. In the ensuing scuffle, Rocco shoots and kills Margot. Lamont awakes from the nightmare to discover that in fact, Rocco and Regan have escaped, and Margot was taken captive as bait for Lamont. Thanks to the efforts of Shreve and Poindexter, Lamont tracks down Annie to learn the location of the killers and Margot. As The Shadow, Lamont disarms Rocco long enough for the arriving police to take the men back to prison; Regan attempts to flee — unsuccessfully.
