Synopsis:

As a guest at the country home of the fabulous Countess Richelieu, Margot wakes to find the nightmare she experienced has come to life. After dreaming that she killed the countess, the woman’s body is found in the library. Damon, a crackpot who believes Margot is the reincarnation of Herodota and will kill three times, worships the ground beneath her feet. Claiming Damon was trying to blackmail him, Larry is found dead, stabbed in the heart with an Incan arrow, moments after Margot suffers a second nightmare. After it is discovered the phone lines are down, Dr. Frederick Burgess attempts to fetch the police but claims the storm washed away the bridge. Lamont snaps Margot out of a trance after she tries to kill him, then fakes his own death so The Shadow can reveal the guilty party. Burgess is a master hypnotist and phony doctor, forging the countess’ checks to the tune of ninety thousand dollars. Having realized the game was up, he murdered the countess and then hypnotized Margot so the blame would fall on her.
