Synopsis:

A series of accidents at a lumber camp has caused the death of five men in one week. Local superstition about Mitchagima frightens the workers, who believe “The Creeper” is responsible for the deaths. Vacationing in the backwoods, Lamont and Margot stumble on to the scene, and as The Shadow, Lamont discovers why the deaths are occurring and who is responsible. Frank Barton, a former employee for MacCraig and Dermott, was crippled for life when a tree fell on him and was left for dead. A huge grizzly bear pushed the tree off Barton, and using the bear as an instrument of evil, Barton used the name of “The Creeper” to exact revenge against the men who did him wrong. The Creeper succeeds in letting the bear kill Dermott and MacCraig. Before he can kill The Shadow, a lantern is knocked over and the shack is set ablaze, killing Barton.
