Synopsis:

While checking out lovebirds at a pet shop, Lamont and Margot follow the trail of a stolen Siamese cat that wears a valuable collar, suggesting a mystery afoot. Their suspicions are confirmed when the man who found the cat is murdered and someone makes an attempt on their lives. Following a clue in the dead man’s dying words, Lamont tracks down the source and the motive. A will dictates that every penny of the family fortune is left to Cora to care for her cat but if the cat dies the fortune is forfeited to the family attorney. When the plot is exposed, Cora arranges for the police to arrive and overhear the crooks confess, unaware that The Shadow already has secured the confession from the guilty parties.
