Synopsis:

Commissioner Weston forms an alliance with The Shadow to round up a criminal syndicate headed by a notorious shyster, a powerful political fixer and a gangster he’s been trying to hang. Criminal lawyer Rex Tigert forces those he cleared of crimes to work for him in an effort to staff a series of fur and jewel robberies. Among his victims are Dr. John Lambert, a convicted murderer out on parole who is forced to treat wounded gang members. With Lambert’s cooperation, The Shadow tails him to a deserted hotel where all three leaders divide their spoils. Lambert bravely puts a gun to Tigert’s back while the others in the room agree to work with The Shadow. Taking the books that document their crooked transactions, including who received payoffs, the guilty stand to attention as Commissioner Weston and his men arrive to clean up. Alone in private, Weston thanks The Shadow for his cooperation, assuring him the people forced into crime by Tigert will be set free.
