Synopsis:

Rather than turning over their jewels to a notorious gang to pay their gambling debts, society women are forced to report their items stolen. The insurance companies pay off, the husbands suspect nothing and the gamblers get their money. Ricci’s gang blackmails their victims and those who do not pay are treated to a ‘beauty treatment’ with acid splashed in their faces. In an effort to discourage Lamont and Margot from further investigation, the racketeers confront them in Margot’s garage and throw ammonia in her face. Lamont sets out as The Shadow to create a fallout among the gang members, causing acid to splash in the face of one and a second to be shot to death. The Shadow ensures the surviving members of the gang will pay for their crimes.
