Synopsis:
Lamont and Margot find the members of the Root archeological expedition at Camino Caverns near the Mexican border terrified after the mysterious death of one of the scientists. They go into the caverns to investigate strange sounds that have been reported. Their Indian guide claims it is the work of the gods, who do not want to be disturbed since the caverns are still considered their ancient burial grounds. Lamont and Margot venture inside alone and find Professor Root and another doctor dead from causes unknown. Dick Winston, the photographer who went along with the expedition for some scenic shots, felt the lust for gold after discovering the valuable ore inside and went berserk, killing the three men using a blowgun he had brought back from South America.
