Synopsis:

A mystery killer has struck twice: the first victim was a blonde actress and the second was a French ballad singer. Attempting to uncover the motive and identity of the killer, Lamont questions Mr. Fleming, who handled their business affairs, his secretary and an aging actor, all of whom may have had a hand in the deaths. Philip Dobrey, the weird old actor, was about to tell The Shadow the name of the Broadway murderer when a pot of acid is thrown in his face. Exhausted from the investigation, Margot returns to her apartment and confronts the secretary, Ann, who puts a drug in Margot’s coffee. She drags the unconscious Margot to a warehouse where a real guillotine used as a prop is housed. There Ann confesses her motive: she was jealous of the actress who got the role she wanted, the man whose voice was praised and the handsome face of Dobrey. Mad, she attempts to eliminate the snooping heroine, but The Shadow arrives to save the day.
