Synopsis:
Off the tip of the Florida coast is Ledar Key, a foreboding stone castle built by the former bootleg baron, Joe Perroni. Miss Manville claims the ghost of Perroni haunts the hallways, and Lamont dismisses her theories until they find the body of her maid, Hilstead. When the sleuths discover two shaggy culprits in the sub-cellar, Lamont attempts to wring the truth out of Kirk, but fails because Gonzales shoots his partner dead. The Shadow returns to the house to find Manville ready to shoot Margot — until he interferes. Manville purchased the seacoast residence after learning that the glass bottles of liquor actually contained narcotics worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. She attempted to double-cross the two gangsters and keep the money for herself. Thanks to the intervention of The Shadow, Margot is saved and the gangsters brought to justice.
