Music: Elsie Thompson

Synopsis:

A writer of horror stories seeks help from Lamont Cranston when he discovers the gruesome murders in his tales have come to life. Three murders in the same manner as described in the stories verify this is no coincidence. After inspecting a deserted house rumored to contain a bloodthirsty vampire, Margot finds herself attacked by the killer. Shortly after the thing with huge black wings vanishes, Lamont assumes the identity of The Shadow to force Todd, the writer, into composing a new horror story. Using Margot as a decoy alone in the city park, suspects Irene and Brian, Todd’s sister and brother, also appear in the park. Brian is attacked and killed and The Shadow arrives to expose the real killer.Todd was recreating the scenes he wrote because he was two completely different people. By day he was the timid little writer and by night he was an insane murderer.
