Synopsis:

The bodies of the deceased appear in physical form when their loved ones visit the Cedarwood Cemetery to pay their respects. With the countenance of death, the look of the departed, the ghostly figures verify their authenticity, forcing The Shadow investigate the bizarre events. When the mayor receives a call from a strange voice telling him that the ex-mayor will be resurrected, Lamont and Margot hide in the cemetery to catch the culprit in the act. Observing Grumsal, the old caretaker of the cemetery, The Shadow learns how, over time, he made death masks of the departed. Using theatrical gimmicks, he attempted to convince the world that he has the power to raise the dead. The Shadow guides the man with the sick, distorted mind out of the mausoleum so the police can take him to an institution. Believing the voice of The Shadow is another of the voices that tell him what to do, Grumsal agrees willingly.
