Synopsis:

On the trail of the mysterious Oriental Hatchet Killers responsible for the deaths of two policemen, Margot is attacked in her own house. It is a warning for Lamont to stay away from the affairs of the Killers. Disguising himself as a waiter for a waterfront dive, Lamont uncovers details about “The Dragon,” the insidious mastermind behind the horrible slaughter. The sleuths find themselves accidentally locked in a room, wander through an opium den and witness some illegal immigrants disposed of in a furnace after being smuggled into the US and then robbed. Lamont receives a tip by phone and follows the trail to a hidden lair where he meets The Dragon face to face. Attacking Lamont with a silver hatchet, the criminals leave his body behind as they exit through a secret passageway. But wait! Lamont arrives to find the body of a man impersonating him on the floor — the brother of one of the police officers who attempted to take the law into his own hands. Discovering the identity of The Dragon, Lamont returns to Margot’s apartment to save her from being killed by Mr. Wilson, who is under the influence of Oriental perfume and transforms his identity to that of the mastermind. Madness upon him, The Dragon collapses and is taken away to a sanitarium.
