Synopsis:
Millionaire scientist Rudolph Hoyt falls victim to what the U.S. Navy refers to as the “Graveyard of the Pacific.” Naval operations have proven useless as both planes and ships continue to disappear in the Pacific Ocean. Lamont suspects one man and his crew, equipped with powerful scientific equipment, are responsible. Venturing out to the area, the plane in which Lamont, Margot and the pilot fly is mysteriously drawn to a crash landing on a private island. They surface from the wreckage to discover the cause. A white man named Lloyd Collins has managed to fool the ignorant natives into thinking he is a god. Using the extinct volcano, Collins has managed to construct a large man-made magnet to draw ships and planes to their destruction. Collins is none other than a rival scientist who has succeeded in capturing Hoyt. Assisted by Hoyt’s daughter, a survivor of a previous ship crash, The Shadow tricks the natives into believing she is a truer white god and that Collins is a fraud. Out of desperation, Collins attempts to gain control and falls victim to the very instrument he devised…and the angry natives.
