Synopsis:

On a dark and stormy night, Lamont and Margot answer a call for help from Professor Sontalk, proprietor of a rest resort in the Catskills, regarding Zuella Mason, who has been reported missing. Shortly after their arrival, they discover they have walked into a trap — the professor knows Lamont’s secret identity because he testified against his brother in court and only The Shadow knew the information. Turning the lights out to even the score, Sontalk and his men close in on The Shadow and apprehend him, handcuffing Lamont. Forcing the playboy into a sealed gas chamber and turning on the gas, the professor sets his sights on Margot in hopes of using her as the next guinea pig in his experiments of reviving the dead. The Shadow surprises the men, overpowers the professor and forces him into the same gas chamber. Zuella shows up and closes the chamber, setting off the gas and killing the professor.
