Synopsis:

A series of jewel robberies baffle the police who suspect The Shadow. Witnesses swear two men were involved — one resembling Frankenstein’s monster. Joseph Jankro, the guard at the city zoo, uses the gorilla to accomplish a series of high-rise robberies. When Margot is robbed in her apartment and almost strangled to death, Lamont personally looks into the case of the night marauders. Discovering all the crimes take place within the vicinity of the city park, Lamont and Margot take a carriage ride in hopes of finding a clue. At the zoo, The Shadow learns that Jankro wanted a new adventure – murder. Closing the cage on The Shadow, Jankro orders the gorilla to kill the man who isn’t invisible to animal eyes. The gorilla, however, will not commit murder. Angrily, Jankro opens the cage and uses his whip — and the enraged gorilla promptly kills him. When the gorilla escapes, the police arrive and amidst gunfire, the animal is shot and killed. Commissioner Weston says he heard Jankro’s confession and clears The Shadow of any involvement with the crime.
