Synopsis:

About twenty years ago, four young and ambitious scientists found a treasure of untold wealth while excavating a tomb on the upper Nile River. Choosing fortune over fame, the men kept the money for themselves but Hollister’s conscience got the better of him and he threatened to expose their intentions. Since then, three of the scientists have feared his return as he was left for dead in a cave-in. When two of the scientists die from the venom of a poisonous black widow spider, Lamont sends Margot to meet Dr. Taylor and to examine one of the spiders found at the murder scene. Realizing she is too close to the truth, Dr. Taylor intends to make Margot his next victim by releasing a box of spiders in the laboratory. The Shadow rescues Margot while Hollister, having been held captive by Dr. Taylor (so Taylor could claim that Hollister was exacting vengeance on the scientists), murders his captor before the spiders can be released.
