Synopsis:

Margot and Lamont venture to Valley Village in northern Massachusetts to answer a plea from an old school friend. In the past two months, three young girls have been found dead from exsanguination with the mark of the vampire on their throats. Disbelieving in vampires, Lamont sets out as The Shadow to question the only person who could profit from the deaths. Once a famous sculptor, Pavel Popescu has been hard at work creating busts for his new, life-size conception of Diana, Goddess of the Chase. After killing each of his victims, he drains the blood from their bodies to mix with plaster to give it a reddish brown pigment. Considering Margot as the perfect life and soul of his masterpiece, he kidnaps her and straps her down on a table. The Shadow distracts him by applying force on the weakened floorboards, causing the statue to fall into the cellar. Popescu makes an effort to save his creation and instead finds himself impaled through the heart with the sharpened wooden spear in the hands of the statue.
