Synopsis:

When a silver-winged passenger plane is forced to land for the evening because of a storm, the passengers take refuge in a small inn. No sooner do the passengers start to bed than a gunshot is heard. A passenger named Hawkins explains that he was taking a man to the state prison — a dangerous criminal who slipped out of the handcuffs and made a break for it. Hawkins took a couple shots at him, but missed. As the evening continues, one passenger is robbed of his jewels, and Lamont finds the body of a man with the marks from a shoulder holster and handcuff imprints on the opposite wrist. The killer obviously shot the detective and took his place. Lamont is knocked unconscious but before Hawkins can make another break for it, The Shadow appears to take control by knocking the gun out of his hand. Lamont fakes his coming to and learns the good news as the passengers now are in command of the situation.
