Synopsis:

Caleb Grant, world-famous automotive engineer and inventor, is murdered shortly after rejecting an offer of half a million for the plans to his latest invention, The Juggernaut. Two industrial promoters, Butler and Gibbons, testify against Grant’s assistant, Eric Logan, because Eric also rejected their offer to sell the blueprints. Moments after being handed a verdict of guilty in a court of law, Eric escapes police custody. In fear for their lives, Gibbons and Butler admit they committed perjury to frame Eric so his wife Barbara would inherit the blueprints. She agreed to sell them for twice the money offered to Eric and his mentor. Even under police custody, the Juggernaut speeds through the streets and flattens Butler’s car like an eggshell. Lamont and Margot trace the hideout for the Juggernaut, and the secret laboratory, and discover that Eric was never behind the wheel. Barbara shoots her husband and forces Margot into the Juggernaut so she can steal the weapon, preventing it from falling into the hands of the Science Institute. The Shadow punches Barbara out cold and takes the wheel, forcing The Juggernaut to a standstill before it runs over a crowd of people in the streets.
