Synopsis:

A mysterious and ferocious killer who imitates Mr. Hyde, of Robert Louis Stevenson’s famous story, has a fourth victim. With each body found hanging from a sidewalk tree, a broken cane is recovered at the crime scene. Lamont is called upon by Commissioner Weston to help find out who is behind the murders. The suspects include: ex-wrestler Bud Porter, actor Morgan Daly who plays the role of Jekyll and Hyde on stage and a Stevenson scholar, Professor Dickson. After having Margot pose as a college student to act as bait for two of the suspects, Lamont solves the mystery. Daly’s mind snapped after performing the role one time too many and he set about committing the murders. Confronted with his guilt, Daly turns into the Mr. Hyde personality and shoots himself in the head.

Note:

This was Judith Allen's first episode as Margo Lane.
