Synopsis:
Vacationing in Haiti at the estate of their good friend Monsieur Dupree, Lamont and Margot witness the kidnapping of Dupree’s son, Juan. Desperate to see the young man safely returned, Margot strikes a bargain with an old hag to be escorted into the black pits of the jungle. With The Shadow by her side, they discover the practice of voodoo has been on the rise due to Kay-On, the high priest. In need of human victims for his ritual of the blood moon, Juan is to become the first victim. With assistance from The Shadow, Margot convinces the natives that she is a priestess more powerful than Kay-On. When Kay-On’s challenge to lift a sacrificial sword from the altar is broken due to the strength of The Shadow, the natives rise up against their leader, killing him. Margot uses the broken sword to slash the voodoo drum and then informs the natives that the snake gods are angry and want no more human sacrifices. Juan is safely returned to his father, leaving the rest of the voodoo purge in the hands of the missionaries and Christians stationed on the island.
