Synopsis:

On the secluded, fog-shrouded Long Island Sound, two of Felix Wolf’s night watchmen dive overboard after seeing a seaweed-covered banshee. By the time they reach shore, two submarines have been sunk. A disbeliever in ghosts, Wolf invites Lamont and Margot to investigate. Lamont goes deep-sea diving to learn how the subs were sunk and almost suffocates when the ghost smashes the air equipment Shreve was monitoring. After surfacing the subs and cleaning the mess, Wolf gives Lamont and Margot a tour. The ghost reappears and Wolf goes topside to combat it, unmasking the specter. John Loveton, the ship designer, was jealous of his employer for making millions under government contracts while he sat back and made only thousands for his clever designs. Attempting to blow up the ship with TNT, Loveton discovers his plan foiled when The Shadow punches him away from the explosive and orders Wolf to put out the fuse. The harbor police arrive to take Loveton away.
