Synopsis:

A mysterious thief has stolen invaluable papers from Dr. Milton, a brilliant young scientist. Two days pass and the police cannot uncover a single clue — especially how the thief broke into the highly-guarded and secure New World Laboratories. The window is located twenty stories from the ground with no windows below, leaving Lamont to suspect the thief came in from a window above. Further investigation reveals the method — Arnold Jessup hired a Brazilian criminal who used a trained twenty-seven foot long python to fetch the papers and slide up the wall back into the window. Margot is about to become a victim when she gets too close to the snake, but The Shadow arrives. Realizing Bomba can find The Shadow by scent, Pedro sends the snake after the invisible avenger. After revealing that Jessup does not plan to pay Pedro the money owed for stealing the papers, The Shadow sees the snake go for Jessup. The Shadow shoots the snake but not in time to prevent Jessup from being crushed to death.
