Synopsis:

The rooftop of Mr. Barton’s warehouse has become the focal point for the brutal deaths of three night watchmen, apparent victims of a huge, black leopard. Barton fears his business will be ruined because his men are quitting, with the warehouse getting a bad name. Lamont and Margot spend the night on the roof hoping to catch a glimpse of the creature but Lamont is savagely attacked and Margot vanishes without a trace. The Shadow calls on Mr. Barton and Commissioner Weston for help. The police station a huge spotlight on the roof of the building next to the warehouse while Mr. Barton plays bait for the large cat. When the animal is exposed, it attempts to flee by jumping off the rooftop. The Shadow takes pursuit, following the cat down a trapeze wire into the building next door. Exposing the murderer as Mr. Blanchard, a business rival of Barton’s, The Shadow orders the killer to surrender. Instead, Blanchard jumps out the ten-story window, unaware that The Shadow had already cut the trapeze wire.
