Sophisticated Champ Stone, Chinese porcelain collector and president of the Royal Mob, is angry because Lamont Cranston is responsible for the apprehension and conviction of seven of his members in the last two months. To eliminate Cranston, he frames him for a murder. Commissioner Weston finds his hands tied when evidence points to Lamont but, thanks to Margot, he escapes police custody to investigate as The Shadow and clear his name. When The Shadow questions Stone, he discovers his friend is making false accusations. Locating the secret meeting place of the Royal Mob, The Shadow seeks proof to clear Lamont while dodging bullets from the counterfeiters, thieves and gunmen. Following a tip, Commissioner Weston and his men arrive and the murder charge is cleared up.
