Synopsis:

One dark and stormy night, Lamont and Margot take shelter at the sanitarium outside of town and discover they’ve stumbled upon a mystery. Murder victims are being buried in the cellar, yet no one there is reporting a crime. The inmates are hypnotized, preventing them from leaving the institution. It doesn’t take long for The Shadow to uncover the truth. Dr. Sloane is cashing in by blackmail after he hypnotizes his patients, forcing them to innocently cause ‘accidents’ to happen. All of his patients are wealthy, so they pay him well to keep them here from the law. Margot and Lamont’s investigation is uncovered, and Sloane hypnotizes them. Before he can commit another murder, Lamont breaks the hold of hypnotism and becomes The Shadow. The invisible avenger laughs knowing the police will arrive soon and the doctor will have to answer for his crimes.
