Synopsis:

Lamont and Margot go undercover as husband and wife to find proof against three men operating a murder-for-profit enterprise. A brilliant chemist named Pascell develops a deadly, untraceable chemical that kills anyone using matches previously dipped in the solution, and use it to light their cigar or cigarette. With Dr. Pascell’s associates posing as a lawyer and a mind reader, they target maladjusted people and suggest they increase the life insurance of loved ones before using the matches to bump them off. When a victim dies, the survivor pays a percentage to Pascell and his men. The crooks see through Margot’s ruse and attempt to eliminate her and Lamont. The Shadow phones the police to pick up the two henchmen. When the tables are turned and Pascell believes he will be apprehended, he lights a deadly cigarette and enjoys a smoke.
