Synopsis:

Seventy-five year old Jonah Caldwell lies in a coma with no will to live until a visit from Lucifer — complete with fire and brimstone. The devil offers a deal — the youth of a twenty-five year old in exchange for Caldwell’s soul. Caldwell won’t bargain but Lucifer gives the old man twenty-four hours of youth as a test-drive. Lamont and Margot are called in by Dr. Loomis who witnessed the visitation and can find no explanation for the old man’s sudden revival. Lamont and Margot also receive a visit from Lucifer, and she is offered the same treatment and given the same fire and brimstone show. While Margot and old man Caldwell set out to dance their feet off, Lamont investigates. At the end of the trial period, Caldwell keeps his appointment with Lucifer and agrees to keep his new youthful energy in exchange for his soul — with one other devilish stipulation — he is to amend his will so nephew Simon becomes the beneficiary. The Shadow laughs and punches Lucifer unconscious as he exposes the truth to the old man. Simon wanted the will changed to get a ten million dollar inheritance, so he hired a master hypnotist to trick Jonah into believing himself young again. The hocus pocus was accomplished with bursts from a pellet that momentarily created fire and smoke.
