Synopsis:

Van Buren and his agents operate a shady fun house at a country carnival, kidnapping their victims and palming them off as the big business tycoons they resemble. Through personal gain and cleverly pinching the stock market, Van Buren undermines the U.S. thanks to his powers of hypnotism. After witnessing the kidnapping of a man who looks just like a steel industrialist, Lamont convinces Margot to visit the same “House of Fun” since she is the spitting image of young society girl Dorothy Andrews, who is the president of a very large perfume factory. Later, The Shadow tails Margot to Van Buren’s hideout and orders the criminal to release the girl and turn himself over to the police. Defying The Shadow’s request, Van Buren empties his gun around the room. The Shadow laughs because the bullets go wild and miss their target. Attempting to kill The Shadow with his bare hands, Van Buren lurches toward the window and accidentally falls fifty stories to his death.
