Synopsis:

Mad killer Nick Barratti exacts revenge from the grave by killing six members of the jury responsible for his conviction and execution. Having attended the hanging, Lamont is determined to prove that Barratti somehow survived the execution and is directly responsible for the recent murders. The Shadow introduces himself to the judge who ordered the execution and convinces him to act as bait to trap the killer. Everything goes according to plan and the judge is forced at gunpoint to a secret hideout where Barratti, masked, introduces himself so the judge will know who arranged for the deaths. When he attempts to shoot the judge, Barratti’s hand is knocked aside, causing the accidental shooting and death of Barratti’s right-hand man. The Shadow forces the killer into revealing how he survived the hangman’s noose. Barratti paid off the executioner and a doctor who injected him with a chemical which brought him back from near death. Struggling to remain alive with an oxygen tank, Barratti sought revenge against the judge and the surviving jury members before reviving his former killing spree. But with one bullet left in the gun, Barratti commits suicide.
