Synopsis:

In the death house, Ralph Gorman threatens to come back after death and murder the men responsible for his conviction: philanthropist Oscar Borden, millionaire sportsman Frank Collins, and Governor Roberts. The newspapers have a field day when Borden is shot in the head and a witness claims to have heard Gorman’s trademark mouth organ shortly before the crime. Lamont verifies Gorman was definitely electrocuted by the state. Soon after, Collins is killed after failing to heed The Shadow’s warning — and Commissioner Weston, himself, is an ear-witness to the event over the phone. Attempting to save Governor Roberts’ life, The Shadow stays close by his side until a death trap in a car proves near fatal. The chauffer is Gorman himself and when the governor faints because of a weak heart The Shadow solves the mystery. Gorman has a twin brother, Arthur, who is committing the crimes. Attempting to murder The Shadow, Arthur tries to drive the vehicle over the embankment into the river. Taking desperate action, The Shadow pulls the emergency brake, forcing the car to skid and crash into a warehouse wall, killing the driver.
