Synopsis:

Lamont and Margot venture into the famous old gold mining town of Bad Creek, historically known for where Elvarez, a notorious Mexican bandit, shot his dance hall sweetheart. During their stay in the deserted town, Lamont and Margot witness mysterious events that coincide with the verses of the song, Elvarez and Armenia, including the murder of Elvarez’s rival. After the murder of Pop Evans, the caretaker of the Evans Hotel, Margot disappears. Remembering the fourth verse in the song telling how Elvarez fled to the Single Ace mine on the hillside, The Shadow interrupts the thieves’ attempt to silencing Margot so they could hide the secret that they are quietly mining gold. When confronted by The Shadow, the leader of the gang is none other than the guide who brought Lamont and Margot into town and in desperation, wild with fear, he resorts to dynamiting the mine to kill everyone. Lamont and Margot race out of the mine before the cave-in traps the criminals inside.
