Synopsis:

Lamont and Margot play Good Samaritans when the young son of a family friend cannot sleep at night because of the sale of their horse. Though it was treated like a member of the family, Mark Heflin was forced to sell the old horse to pay taxes on the property. After helping the Heflins get young Bobby to bed, Lamont promises to have the horse returned. The task turns out to be more challenging than anticipated when, after questioning all the farmers in the country, he discovers that a horse trader named Kalsade is not an established local. After tracking down the whereabouts of the old animal, Lamont and Margot race to save all the horses moments before fire consumes the entire stable. With the help of the police, The Shadow arranges for Kalsade’s gang to be rounded up, and the invisible man reveals that Kalsade substituted his insured stock with old horses to collect insurance payments.
