Synopsis:

Wilfred Connover is framed for a crime he did not commit. Before his trip to the Big House, he swears murderous revenge against the three men responsible for the frame-up — Wycherley, Blaine and Frazier. After Frazier arranges for Connover’s escape on board a train, he helps the criminal exact his revenge on Blaine and Wycherley, but not before cleaning out $70,000 from the safe of the Blaine & Wycherley Trust Company. Lamont and Margot, friends of Frazier, attempt to apprehend Connover but when Margot gets too close to the truth, she is kidnapped by Connover. Frazier traps Lamont in a burning building and joins Connover in the getaway. During the trip, Frazier brags how he committed the perfect crime. With the money, he plans to eliminate Margot and Connover by arranging an ‘accident.’ Connover will take the blame. The Shadow laughs, mocking the criminal’s failure as he pulls Margot from the automobile. Frightened, Connover speeds off a cliff, leaving Frazier left holding the bag. Weeks later, the judge sentences Frazier to be hanged.
