Synopsis:

James MacCavrey is found guilty of first-degree murder and sentenced to life imprisonment. Although innocent, James was unable to prove it. He believes that a curse put on his family two hundred years ago is being fulfilled. When a criminal known as “The Stutterer” breaks from police custody and takes James with him, they hide out at the MacCavrey estate. Lamont and Margot stumble upon the estate and help James find his Uncle Garth, who has vanished. When the old man is discovered, Uncle Garth explains that he converted most of his millions into cash and murdered his nephews so they could not inherit the family fortune. Now, about to flee the country, he plans to leave James holding the bag for the murders. The police arrive, courtesy of Lamont’s interference, and the uncle is shot to death, proving to James that the MacCavrey curse was nothing more than a legend.
