Synopsis:
Joe Norwood, a college football player from 1932, reappears on the scene as if he’d been living in the ageless Shangri-La. Doctors and scientists swear he has the body of a man in his early twenties, just as he looked the day before he vanished. Lamont follows the only clue — a routine dental surgery — to track down the culprit, Milton Hager. The scientist created a laboratory in which to conduct experiments that had the outward appearance of a tomb. Hager was expelled from college for performing dangerous, unauthorized experiments in anesthesia on his clinical patients, but he succeeded in perfecting human hibernation. Determined to prove his grand scheme to the 1950 scientific community, Hager kidnaps prominent citizens about town and places them in glass chambers. Before Margot can become another victim, The Shadow arrives to save her from becoming the next victim. A fire breaks out in the lab. In desperation, Hager shoots himself to avoid facing the police and the shame from the scientific community.
