Synopsis:

Professor Wallace fears for his life after spending years systematically trying to drive his rival, Professor Gondo, insane. Gondo is a brilliant biologist who experiments with “living surgery” by grafting limbs and vital organs from one body to another. Wallace has grafted the hands of a skillful murderer onto the body of a gymnast known as Bartolini, who can scale the walls of apartment buildings and throw knives with great accuracy. When Lamont and Margot, tracking down the identity of the murderer, gets too close to the truth, Wallace is forced to use a rare mind-control drug from the Orient on Margot — the same he uses on Bartolini. The Shadow arrives to save Margot’s life. Wallace confesses that he, too, knows something about hypnosis and knows the identity of The Shadow. Working on Bartolini, The Shadow’s will proves stronger when he breaks the professor’s spell. Angry for the injustice done to him, Bartolini uses his knife on the professor, then panics and plunges out the 22-story window to his death.
