Synopsis:

A criminal mastermind named The Owl, a blind man who possesses an enhanced sense of awareness,
could prove a challenge for The Shadow if caught together in a dark room. Lamont realizes The Owl has begun to build an organization which, if he is not apprehended shortly, will terrorize the city with crime. When two crooks named Natey and Limpy attempt to heist $25,000 from the Eastern Products Company, they encounter The Shadow and an exchange of gunplay accidentally takes the life of Natey. Limpy returns empty-handed to report to The Owl about The Shadow. Upon learning that Jeff Green, an ex-con employed as a bookkeeper for the company, is secretly working for The Owl, Lamont cleverly arranges for Green to use disappearing ink, foiling his chances of further embezzlement. In a private confrontation against The Shadow, The Owl turns off the lights to get the better of him and opens fire where he hears both voice and breath originating. Failing to hit his target every time, the Owl accidentally falls out the window to his death.
