Synopsis:

Recently released from a three-year sentence, a blind gangster named Adam seeks vengeance against The Shadow. Applying his heightened senses, Adam discovers the Shadow’s true identity and blackmails Lamont into serving him or face exposure to the criminal underworld. After committing the cold-blooded murder of a gangster rival, Adam attempts to force The Shadow to call a midnight meeting with the members of his former gang. Instead, Lamont and Margot trick Gus, Adam’s associate, into believing his boss is testifying against him to the police and framing him for the murder. Gus willfully visits the police to tell the truth. Meanwhile, The Shadow visits Adam and tells him what Gus is doing. Unbelieving, Adam relishes the moment he is going to kill The Shadow. But when police sirens are heard, he panics and misses wounding The Shadow by three feet, then attempts to escape through a window. Unaware there is no fire escape, he plunges to his death.
