Synopsis:
Aware that Lamont is an expert in detective skills, wealthy eccentric Carlton Reeves invites him to his private Bleak Island for a murder mystery — one in which Reeves confesses he just killed his servant and intends to murder the remaining guests within the next two days. He challenges Lamont to figure out the method and means before he commits the deeds. After a second murder, Lamont battles wits with Reeves to save the life of George Fenwick, placing himself in the position of being Reeves’ next victim.With no escape from the island and a deadly game of cat and mouse, Lamont is forced to become The Shadow to save his own hide. Ultimately, he witnesses the death of Reeves when he plunges a hundred feet down a trap door that was designed for Lamont.
