Synopsis:

Jerome Carlton, one-time member of the brokerage firm of Madison and Whitley, Inc., escaped from Craigmore State Prison, having served three years of a ten year sentence for misappropriation of the company’s funds. Swearing vengeance, Carlton succeeds in killing both Madison and Whitley before setting his sights on Helen, his former love. Called in to the case by Helen in hopes Carlton will be apprehended before it is too late, Lamont and Margot unearth the motives of the murders. In a frantic effort to save the life of Helen, Margot and Lamont return to the house on Tower Cape, where the first murder occurred. The killer is revealed to be none other than Madison, who faked his death using the body of Carlton. Madison was actually guilty of the company scandal and had framed Carlton. Since he got rid of his remaining partner and is officially dead, he can enjoy the money he stole. Before Madison can kill Margot for knowing too much, The Shadow arrives. After emptying his gun trying to shoot the Shadow, the killer makes a desperate act by jumping from a window, plunging to his death.
