Synopsis:

A dinner thief named Hood is shot and killed over a picture supposedly worth ten thousand dollars. Lamont and Margot soon find themselves being chased by the killers and in the process their car is wrecked as they attempt to escape with their lives. When Weston explains over the phone that no officer named Drake works for the department or phoned in the homicide, Lamont realizes the officer was an imposter. As the bodies pile up, the sleuths eventually solve the mystery. The picture is that of Salmon P. Chase. The reason it is so valuable is because that same amount of money has been stashed inside picture frame — Hood’s former employer was doing black market business and hid it there — until Hood stole it. The Shadow arrives at the scene to apprehend the killers and turn them over to the police.
