Synopsis:
Doc Glass and his wife Myrna operate a quack racket, selling medical miracles that never fulfill the promise of better living. Sandy is released from prison and Doc gives him a job demonstrating and selling the products and shows him the ropes. When two radium pitchers poison a man instead of curing him, Weston and Lamont set out to learn the identity of the culprits. Unaware of the poison in the pitchers, Sandy attempts to prove to Doc that he had nothing to do with the murder and finds himself the victim of the same poison. Upon learning what happened to Sandy, Myrna tips off the authorities. When Margot comes snooping around the warehouse, she finds herself in the custody of Doc. Myrna confesses it was she who poisoned the pitchers, hoping it would send Doc up the river so she and Sandy could leave town, knowing Sandy had already paid his debt for a crime Doc committed seven years earlier. The Shadow arrives but not before Myrna takes matters into her own hands and shoots Doc dead.
