Synopsis:

Julie Yarbrough phones Lamont Cranston for help. Jeremy, her renowned scientist husband, has vanished and in his place is a scruffy dog. Jeremy had publicly denounced reincarnation as espoused by Krishna Davyta, a Hindu charlatan. According to Davyta, Jeremy’s spirit has made the migration to the howling dog that occupies the house. After The Shadow questions Davyta and Margot finds Lila, Jeremy’s sister, hanging from a beam by the remains of a silk turban, Lamont solves the case. Julie is in love with Dr. Comstock, the family physician, and wanted to eliminate her husband and sister-in-law and frame it on Davyta. The fact that she arranged for Lila’s hanging with the wrong color silk was her first mistake. Comstock falling on the knife that killed her husband was the second. The Shadow reveals the solution to the mystery and arranges for the police to arrive.
