Aboard the Transcontinental Limited en route to Washington, D.C. from the West Coast, Lamont Cranston is asked by Henry Frazier, one of the nation’s greatest industrialists, to help assist in the security of a secret formula that enemy agents want. After young Peter Fenwick, a member of the British Secret Service, falls from the train to his death, Lamont and Margot suspect that many of the passengers are not who they seem to be — including the man claiming to be Frazier’s personal secretary.
