Synopsis:
In search of the leader of a narcotics ring, Margot and Lamont receive a mysterious phone call at a florist shop where the proprietor has just been murdered. The unknown voice warns Cranston to get off the case — he knows that Cranston is The Shadow. Following the narcotics trail from the waterfront to the local florist’s because the drugs were imported and distributed in tulip bulbs, Lamont discovers the culprit is Prince Rudolph, who was supposedly killed in an explosion in Shanghai ten years ago. After Margot alerts the police to Rudolph’s hideout, The Shadow infiltrates and lures the triggermen outside for the law. Facing off against Rudolph, a man he knew in the Orient, Lamont discovers the criminal has a Tommy gun. Shooting the lights out, unaware that was the signal the police were waiting for, Rudolph becomes a victim of the police bullets before he can shoot Lamont. Cranston’s secret is safe once more.
