Synopsis:

Lamont, Margot and card expert John Scarne are on the trail of a gambling ring that moves from town to town, fooling people into believing they are playing a respectable card game for high stakes. When one of their victims discovers Cono is cheating he is forced to shoot the player and high-tail it out of town. Lamont and Scarne go undercover as Cono’s latest victims in an effort to expose the crooked card game for what it is, but the game is interrupted by a masked gunman who steals the ten thousand dollar pot. Believing Petey double-crossed him Cono kills him. He sets out to murder his other associate, Spats, after discovering he masterminded the robbery and put the blame on Petey. The Shadow steals the guns and the money during the confrontation so the police have the evidence needed to smash the racket.
